Dilbert Takes on the Search Giants
Have you seen the recent Dilbert Cartoons? If not, take a moment and check them out... they're pretty funny, and even search related.
For the past week or so (since May 12th) I have been following Dilbert as he develops his own search engine technology, avoids death from a death-ray controlled by Google founders, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt, and eventually finds out that he is not the owner of his search engine technology, rather his former employer is. Tough break!
Have a look:

With that... what is your favorite comic strip/book?

My favorite part of this whole Dilbert series is the "Lawyerpult," LOL, good stuff. In addition to being a big fan of Dilbert, I also enjoy Garfield and Peanuts as well as the occassional Spiderman read. There is another one that I enjoy that I can't place the name... anyway it involves a viking or was it a caveman? Other than that, our crummy newspaper really doesn't showcase anything else that strikes my interest.

Could you be possibly referring to "Hagar The Horrible"? I believe that comic was about a viking and his wife.
Yeah... our local paper does suck. Although I do remember following "Beetle Baily", "The Born Looser", and "Foxtrot". Those were pretty good.

Yeah Beetle Baily is good. Does Calvin and Hobbs still run? I remember that was pretty big a few years back.
Did you know that Dilbert actually ran (runs?) as an actual cartoon? It used to be on late on Comedy Central, but I'm sure it ran on HBO or some other station prior to that. Anyway, that was funny as well... it was weird seeing voices put to the characters, but I believe Kathy Griffin provided the voice for Alice, which was on key for me.

I'm not sure if the "Calvin and Hobbs" cartoon still runs or not, however, I do remember seeing them printed locally at one time.
Get out! Dilbert was an actual television cartoon. That's very interesting to know and would be pretty cool to see... especially if Kathy Griffin was (is) involved. I don't know why, but I imagine Drew Carry to be the voice of Dilbert and Jim Gaffigan to be the voice of Dogbert. How pimp would that be?

LOL, yeah Jim Gaffigan would've been great.... I don't know why, but I'm thinking the Kastanza (?) guy from Seinfeld was a voice in there too....
