Happy Halloween from the Klog

Every year, it is tradition in my Girlfriend's family to carve pumpkins during the days leading to Halloween. They all gather around their family table and browse through a library of Halloween pumpkin designs. Once they've made their selections, pumpkins are chosen, and the carving begins.

In past years, I've always opted-out when it came to participating... mostly because it was their tradition and I didn't want to impose. However, this year I had a really good idea for a pumpkin carving, so I decided it was time I participated.

So what could be scarier than a witch, werewolf, vampire, or even a young Frankenstein? How about a Klog!

  • I think you should have carved a hooter's girl holding the klog.

  • That would have been cool too... and of course there is always next year (Spoken like a true Chicago Cubs fan).

Did you know that the picture of the Klog and the Hooters girl is by far my most viewed Flickr photo? Go figure.

  • When it comes to carving pumpkins, I've done many in my days. I chose a design that was marked 'Challenging' for its difficulty level. However, I was done carving my pumpkin way before Karl. I can honestly tell you that it wasn't my many years of previous experience, it was the fact that Karl handled this project much like how he handles everything else: he was meticulous when it came to detail & only wanted the best! Great work!!!

  • Hey Jackie... thanks. You know me, its only worth doing if you're going to do it right.

    Your pumpkins were great too!

    Thanks for the comments.
