A NEW Look to Yahoo! Search Results

I noticed a HUGE change in the look and layout of Yahoo's Search results pages today... however it appears to only be showing up on a few computers within our office.

Yahoo's search results now display a "shopping cart" icon for which seems to be a quicker checkout option offered through PayPal... similar to what Google Search has done with Google Checkout. If you're a Yahoo! Store owner and looking for more information on this "quick checkout" option or if you're looking for ways to integrate this new function in with your Yahoo! Store, check out this post by Michael Roebuck.

  1. More importantly Karl, what were you doing looking up Obagi skin care products?! :o
  2. Ummm... Okay, you caught me. I have a secret obsession to purchase and wear women's skin care products. What can I say? ;-)

    Good eye by the way!
  3. I've noticed it too, Karl. I think it is a neat design, although I don't usually associate the color blue with Yahoo.
  4. I totally agree with you. I wonder if purple (the color used in most of their logos) was even an option. I'm thinking that it would have made more sense than the color blue that was chosen... especially from a branding point of view.
  5. More details on this posted:

Yahoo! Store blog and Yahoo! PayPal Checkout

Once you sign-up and qualify, it can take up to 10 days to see the icon in Sponsored Search ads. No doubt the blue comes from PayPal which shows an affinity for the color.

  6. Thanks for the insight Paul.

I bet you and the rest of the Yahoo! Store development team have been sitting on this for quite some time... just itching to talk about this.

    Thanks for the 2 updates.
  7. But where on Yahoo's new search result page does it tell me the number of hits??
